iPhone battery draining after iOS 18 Update

Same my iphone 15 battery is draining like ****. Probably waiting for next update

100 to 90% battery health??

It's quite typical of Apple to introduce a new iOS system (like ios 18 which i also downloaded....SILLY ME) and not have done enough testing and intern we all suffer the people that buy their products.I can no longer add an email account to my Mail app which they are investigating and the battery drain is horrendous. It was 100% this morning when I woke up. I've left the house now not even one hour and it's drained to 77 and I've hardly used anything. .

Apple are becoming a horrible company that do not care about their customers who make them rich

I have IPhone 14pro and after the upgrade my battery life is -3% , it was 100% after 11 months of using it. My battery is draining like crazy! It’s madness! I can’t get a full day without charging it and I got day and a half before the update !

charge is going down very quickly in my 14 pro max after iOS 18 update. Why apple why are you doing this. They definitely know about this, without even testing how can they release updates like this?

I used to get a minimum of 1 day and a half of battery life on iPhone 14 pro which was great btw, now I can barely finish the day after installing iOS 18, I think this Apple's new strategy to "encourage" customers to upgrade to iPhone 16..

I have ended up using low power mode 100% of the time, helping but still not great definitely something in this update. Rather than new features more focus should be made on optimizing battery life 99% of people don’t use 90% of iPhone features but 100% worry about battery life!

I found one of the root causes: If you go to Settings -> Cellular -> Cellular Data and it’s refreshing once a second, this is what’s draining your battery. Some apps seem to trigger it, restarting seems to stop it temporarily until something triggers it again.

Disabling Enable Cellular Usage Statistics at the bottom of that same screen did not fix it.

18.1 did not fix it, either.

I don't think you followed up on this thread very well.

We are not talking about an issue that happens for 12-36 hours.

We are talking here about an issue that is on-going after a month of using iOS 18 on all of it's sub-versions up to and including version 18.1.

So yes, this is a problem with iOS 18.x and yes this is something that Apple should investigate into.

1. Try turning off your location services for the apps which doesn’t require them!
2. use low power mode

wait for apple to fix the issue with an update even i am facing the same issue and a bit of heating issue also!

I have the same problem battery draining too fast as compared to iOS 17 in my 13 pro max .

went from 82% to 37% just from reading this thread. Absolutely atrocious. 15 pro max.

I am shocked with IOS 18 update. My iPhone 15PM loose 30-40% a day in comparison to iOS 17! Apple, are you going to release any emergency update?! That is unacceptable!

after I updated iOS 18.1 the battery is draining. I have iPhone 13 pro

My iPhone 7 had better battery life than my iPhone 16 pro max. Unbelievably horrible battery life. It’s stunning how awful it is. The phone isn’t worth $2000, and it’s behaving like I bought it from the dollar store.
