Numbers (iPad OS) fill table with data from other sheet(s)

New to Numbers.

I have 4 sheets of vocabulary with 5 columns and varying amounts of rows. What I’d like to do is have one sheet that actively consolidates all this data into a single sheet. Is this possible? Example (as csv) below:

sheet 1

Sentence, Translation, Word, Pronunciation, Note

sentence 1, def 1, word 1, pronunciation 1, note 1

sheet 2

Sentence, Translation, Word, Pronunciation, Note

sentence 2, def 2, word 2, pronunciation 2, note 2

sheet 3

Sentence, Translation, Word, Pronunciation, Note

sentence 3, def 3, word 3, pronunciation 3, note 3

sheet 4

Sentence, Translation, Word, Pronunciation, Note

sentence 4, def 4, word 4, pronunciation 4, note 4

sheet 5 (consolidation)

Sentence, Translation, Word, Pronunciation, Note

sentence 1, def 1, word 1, pronunciation 1, note 1

sentence 2, def 2, word 2, pronunciation 2, note 2

sentence 3, def 3, word 3, pronunciation 3, note 3

sentence 4, def 4, word 4, pronunciation 4, note 4

thanks!

Well, that’s a less than useful reply. Imagine not entertaining the idea of copy/paste in 2024.

the list is constantly being added to and/or modified. The idea here is to have a sheet that is always up to date without the nuisance of repeatedly having to copy & paste data from the other sheets. If this were excel it’d be a no-brainer but it’s not and here I am working exclusively (or trying to) from my iPad. :). I won’t get into why.

When you say "constantly" being added to or modified, do you mean every few seconds? I could see then how copy-paste would be burdensome.

In most other situations, copy-paste is underrated! Fast and efficient.

From your description it is difficult to tell exactly what problems you are trying to solve.

Why, for example, do you have multiple tables (I think you mean tables rather than sheets, right?) with exactly the same format?

In general, keeping like data together in one table in the first place is more efficient than scattering it among multiple tables. If it is all in one table then you can easily view subsets as needed.

Going the other way, from multiple tables to one table, is generally more cumbersome.
