While reseting the MacBook it is stuck on internet recovery page

Hi

I’m trying to reset my MacBook ready for a new user. I’ve followed instructions and am now at the internet recovery page.

Not sure this is what is supposed to be happening?

I’ve erased the data using the disk utility option as it’s a fairly old machine, 2017, and doesn’t have the option to reset in system preferences.

I’d appreciate some advice please.

If it's in Internet Recovery, you can reinstall macOS if you so choose. Otherwise just present that Mac to its new user in that condition. That's ok also. The new user can reinstall macOS. If you're selling it just be sure to let the buyer know that's the condition in which it will be sold. That shouldn't matter to a knowledgeable buyer.
