AppleTV on LG webOS "Couldn't Load Video"

Brand new LGTV and every app works except Apple TV. Only workaround is airplay on iPhone. That’s not a good solution. Skipping ahead isn’t working. Skipping recaps doesn’t work. What’s the solution? Why has this been a problem for a better half of a year? Plays the apple logo and crashes on every show. Disney and Netflix and even prime works!

I hope no one will take offense if I suggest this is some kind of ******* contest between multi-billion dollar companies? It’s just to hard to believe that these enormous corporations can’t figure this issue out if, and it’s a big if, if they actually wanted to. They know I wouldn’t have bought a different TV or wouldn’t sign up to watch Apple TV over this issue. And should I decide along with hundreds of disappointed customers to forego these products if it would even represent a tiny rounding error on either mega company’s balance sheets.

We are less than trivial to the companies we have grown to consume with such reckless abandon. Same as not having an app for PBS on LG. It is absurd to think they couldn’t get an app written if they felt it was important. We should all become accustomed to being insignificant.

My TV is from November, since I replaced it. The app worked ok on the SamsungOS.

I noticed it plays normally, if I skip the first 10s of the video. But never from the beginning.

Must be an issue with LG’s OS.

I have contacted Apple support, they are either unable or uninterested in fixing the issue, or perhaps both, I’d welcome Apple support contacting me with a solution or any position to the contrary. After a number of caIls I am still awaiting follow up and resolution.

I just bought LG webOS TV from Costco and also am getting the same issue, my

internet is fine. The content plays then the same error comes up! FIX THIS APPLE pls

I’ve just had an update that appears to have fixed the issue. I don’t know if it’s available everywhere yet or if it fixes it for everyone.

I have just updated both the LG WebOS and the Apple TV app , and it seems to have fixed the issue!

I’ve tried this too, but it doesn’t work. It will fast forward, you can see the little video in the corner fast-forwarding, but then it still gives the error when it tries to start playing

Any resolution on this or how do we report it? Whom do we call?

Same here on a Brand New 77B4.

I paid a LOT of money for this TV.

I am not a happy camper on this.

I had the same issue, I found that if you skip 20 seconds or so it will play like normal

Same issue in my LG B4 2024. It happens always at the second 5 of any Apple TV show.
