I have used LastPass and 1Password, but it seems that the Apple password storage usually pops up my needed password. I'm a home user with several devices. I rarely used secured sites when I'm in public places. Is Apple Password protection enough?

Access to passwords stored in your macOS Keychain gets easier in later macOS versions. They have added System Settings -> Passwords, and each succeeding major macOS release as been improving it. And there are matching iPhone/iPad Settings -> Passwords in more recent iOS releases. Plus sharing is done via iCloud Keychain sync'ing.
Yes. Apple's Keychain is a pretty good password manager. I personally don't use anything else.
