How to Crop in iMovie on the new M4 iPad pro

I really prefer using the native apps on most devices as they are less buggy.

However I cannot seem to crop in iMovie on the M4 iPad Pro.

Is there a way to do it perhaps and if not, is there a suggestion for a non subscription based video editing suit that is good for general video editing comparative to your general iMovie on a Mac Pro.

I really do not need all the bells and whistles.

Any help would appreciated.
