Horizontal lines top and bottom in screen recording

I'm trying to use Quicktime to screen record on my Mac but every single recording has a tiny grey line at the top and bottom of it.

MBP 14" Nov 2023, M3.

I am recording a portion of my screen and these very faint grey lines appear. This is most evident when the bg is white. I cannot figure out why this is happening, if its a bug of some sort or a setting?

Quicktime screen recording randomly stops recording. I am using an M2 Mackbook Air on the latest version of MacOS Sequoia. When doing longer screen recordings, my macbook randomly cuts off and stops recording, with no warning and plenty of space left. This time varies between 10 and 40 minutes with seemingly no control. My mac has over 100gb of storage left after these recordings stop, and I have not had this problem before upgrading to sequoia. How can I fix this issue?

Quicktime Player menu completely disappears when screen recording. (the ESC key does nothing) When I go to take a screen recording on a selected part of the screen the menu completely disappears, there is no "top menu bar" as mentioned in other forum questions, and the ESC key does not do anything at all, also holding down the ALT/command key does not pause the recording. I can simply do nothing except quit the program and lose the recording. Clicking on the application also does nothing. I have been reading forums and researching for a solution and nothing fixes this. I have had to download alternative software, I guess it's just a dud.
