iPod Classic stopped syncing with Windows 10 August 9, 2024

After updating iTunes on Win10 to iTunes 12.13.2.3 my iPod Classic will not longer sync with Windows 10. I've tried rebooting. I've spent hours on this. It's too late to do a recovery in Windows. My Windows start page also changed my defaults. What happened? How do I fix it? There is nothing lost on my iPod Classic. The computer still recognizes it as an Apple device, but iTunes does not recognize it. I also have an iPod Touch which it does recognize. Thanks for any help. I definitely prefer the battery capability and storage space on my iPod Classic.
