Please excuse my stupid questions... Is it possible to download older versions of programs from the App Store? Can I pay to upgrade my IOS like Windows offers? I'm completely new to MacBook, I purchased a 2017 MacBook Air for almost nothing, so see if I like it the way it operates.. I know I don't want windows anymore, and I'm actually pretty happy with my Samsung Chromebook 4+, my only complaint is I can't run a duplicates file checker through Google Drive or Google One or Google Photos, because -- Well, honestly, I think Google wants you to not be able to remove duplicates easily, so you'll need to keep increasing the amount of cloud storage you pay for... THAT'S MY ONLY COMPLAINT! Other than that, I LOVE my Chromebook!
But this MacBook is running Monterey 12.7.6. -- The main app I want to be able to run says I have to have IOS 13 or higher in order to download it from the App Store..... I just didn't want to invest so much money into a MacBook and not like it MORE than the Chromebook... So far, I'm not very impressed. - Maybe it's because the App Store doesn't offer anything I use for the older MacBook? I mean I can't even download Google Photos, Google Home, Chrome, Gmail, Ancestry, FamilySearch, etc. - Which each of these I can go to the direct website and access it that way, but I'm so used to my iPhone apps and my Chromebook apps, that I would 100% rather function from apps than from Chrome or Safari etc. Does anyone have any recommendations?
