What is the shortcut to repeat the last action on the Numbers app?

Yes, Numbers really needs a Repeat action. I haven't used Excell in over 10 years and still long for the repeat last action in Numbers.

For those not aware, it acts like a paste of the most recent action for a quick repeat. If you last action was sum of cell in column an and b, you could just repeat that all the way down. If your last action was a change to formatting, shortcut to repeat. Such a useful feature.

Some respond w/Apple Keyboard Shortcuts, others saying yo can create what you need - both miss the mark. This isn't about memorizing more shortcut keys for a function one may use a lot for the next 15 minutes and not again for years. I have not been successful creating a shortcut that remembers and repeats the last action...non-starter.

Apple, please offer a repeat function.

Assuming you're referring to CMD + Y from Microsoft Excel which repeats the last action, the Numbers app doesn't have a native way of handling this.

You can see most functions you can add as keyboard shortcuts when you type in the Help section. You can assign these items (using their exact names) as keyboard shortcuts to make your Numbers usage somewhat convenient.

If you want to get granular, you can set up Shortcuts or use Automator scripts in order to run a sequence of inputs repeatedly.

I do not know of any Menu item or keyboard shortcut to repeat the previous action in Numbers.
