Apple Music app on Windows crashing when updating cloud library

Recently updated large iTunes library to Apple Music app on windows pc. Library stored on a NAS syncs fine but when I try, what sounds like a great feature, updating cloud library so I can see and listen to my library from other devices (iPhone; iPad) the app just crashes and says ran into an error. No details of the error. Apple Music on my iPhone oddly shows the playlists I had on iTunes/ have on Apple Music on pc but only a small number of the tracks there. Tried calling support but just got couple of articles about how to sync library. Uninstalled and reinstalled on pc but no different. At a loss as to how to use what I think is a really fantastic sounding feature. May be just wait for updates to resolve bug?

Troubleshooting Apple Music for Windows


A. Getting Apple Music to Work on a PC:

Remove this, and then get it directly from Microsoft. See here: Apple Music - Free download and install on Windows - Microsoft


B. Ask in Microsoft's Forums: Results in Windows - Music | Microsoft

D. Report this to Apple:

Do your Part. Give Apple feedback on this. Apple won't get back to you directly, but the more feedback they receive on this, the more they will know what issues are occurring, and what bug fixes to include in updates to come.

How to Give Feedback:

  1. Go Here: Feedback - Apple Music - Apple
  2. Select: "Bug Report" for "Feedback Type"
  3. Select: "Browse" for "What Apple Music feature is your feedback about?"
  4. Comment: one when you came across this issues, and how you have troubleshoot it this far. Include the URL of this thread.
  5. Proceed from there as necessary
