Studio Display and M2 iPad Pro compatibility

I’m currently using my M2 iPad Pro as my primary computer. I’d like to add the Studio Display as an extended monitor and based on what I’ve seen on YouTube, this is a relatively viable solution. In the past however (iPadOS 16 and earlier), certain functionality wouldn’t work. For example, you couldn’t update the Display’s firmware or use the mic/camera. Has that changed in iPadOS 17
