How to stop my brand new iPad Air M2 from over heating?

So you mean to say that we should not use applications on iPad and use it as it is. Really !!!!

The issue was solved in Ipados18.0.1 but now again in IPad os 18.1 it started again. And the iPad is getting very hot

Turn off the hover feature on the  pencil setting

I know not to charge mine and use it at the same time or the back gets really uncomfortable to hold. I avoid using any type of case so it can dissipate heat better. Can’t say if this is a significant issue but it definitely gets my attention.

So, you’ve restored your iPad as a new device and the problem still persists!!!

This might be absurd, but I think it’s possible that there’s an issue with your Apple ID causing overheating, Since you’ve menctioned that you could replicate the issue with multiple iPad models.

Now, it’s not normal for an iPad to overheat while using the notes app, perhaps you folks need to take it to an Apple Store or send it for replacement as the iPads can’t be repaired

I just set up my brand new iPad Air M2 manually as a new device since I don’t have a previous iPad and I’m not an iPhone user. My iPad is overheating with just watching a YouTube video or browsing safari.

Well, I ran into that heating issue while using freenotes, so I thought it might be a problem with the app itself, swithced to goodnotes and still had the same issue. Surprisingly, the official apple notes also has this problem.

My first iPad after a long wait, and yep, what a disappointment!

Hi everyone, I’m facing the same issue when taking notes on my iPad. I hoped updating to IpadOs 18 would help. However, it doesn’t seem to be getting any better. Has anyone found at least partial solution? Is this happening to all the model or should I try to refund it and get a new one?
