Playing Podcast Episodes from Oldest to Newest

I downloaded a podcast from iTunes to my iPod Classic, and I would like to listen to the episodes from oldest to newest. I ordered them this way on iTunes, but the episodes still appear from newest to oldest on my iPod. Why on earth would anyone want to listen to a podcast in reverse order??? What happens when I choose the first episode, it plays and then stops. How can I fix this?
