Video plays normal in finder preview but lagging in Quicktime

Hi, I have been having issues with video playback on QuickTime for several months. After updating troubleshooting the playback is still laggy. However, the video plays normally on the Finder preview without lagging issues.

What could be the cause? Are there any options to fix this issue?

I own an older Mac. Screenshots of overview+hardware attached below.
