Can’t rearrange songs on playlist
I’m starting to move from my old Windows 10 desktop to a better performing Windows 11 laptop. I am slowly transferring my imported iTunes music and have already downloaded all my iTunes purchases.
Because I don’t know how or didn’t bother to search, I am rebuilding my music playlists from scratch. But here lies the problem: I can’t rearrange the order of music in the playlist.
On the old iTunes, it was very easy to rearrange the songs by dragging a file or multiple files to a new position and it’s there. But with Apple Music playlists, it can’t do it. I try dragging one song, and it looks like the surrounding songs open up space to allow you to place the file there. But once you release the mouse button, it doesn’t work. The song you try to move is not in the desired location. It just stays where it was when added to the playlist at first.
It’s absurd how a basic function is buggy and broken on a program that is supposed to replace iTunes (at least I can still buy music because I don’t like music streaming subscriptions). I submitted a report on the bug, but I wish that Apple can be more transparent about what fixes they’re implementing in future software updates.
