"Cannot Decode" Music downloaded to iphone from Library - solution for me

Hi, just saw there were a bunch of posts on this issue without a lot of resolution.

For me, unchecking this box in the iphone view of iTunes: "Convert higher bit rate songs to XXXkbps AAC" solved all my issues. I was not only getting "Cannot Decode" on certain songs but also multiple songs would just skip on various albums and you could never play them and there was no error msg. After unchecking that box, I applied changes and re-synced and iTunes re-downloaded all the music I had selected and voila! No more issues (other than some songs being classed different than the majority in their albums but that's a different issue).
