Connected MacBook Pro on network shows on Mac Studio with a question mark

My new MacBook Pro, running macOS Sonoma, is on my network. Using Finder it can see the contents of shared folders on my Mac Studio, running macOS Monterey. But in Finder on my Mac Studio it shows the name of the MacBook Pro but there is not a disk icon in front of the MacBook Pro name in the left column and there is a question mark above the MacBook Pro. In addition the Mac Studio cannot see contents of any shared folders on the MacBook Pro. All folders have read/write property. How can I fix this?

Mac Studio, macOS 12.6
