Can't sync without Apple Music Subscription

It seems Apple wants to gate off any iTunes playlists made from ripping CD's. 20+ years ripping CD's using iTunes has now come to a abrupt halt. To make things worse, iTunes no longer supports music or movies so we're forced to use Apple Music which is faster but here's the issue. You can't sync to Apple Music without a subscription.

With all the music I've ripped and digital codes to movies I've used have become non-existent on iTunes.

So here's my question. What methods are there to sync without using Apple Music? Can I use a previous version of iTunes? I tried MusicBee but it couldn't sync because the iPhone internal storage for music was deleted in the recent update of iOS, ver.17.3.1.

Windows, Windows 10

I'm glad to have seen your post as I thought this was just happening to me. I signed up for a free 3 month apple TV trial and ever since, I realised Itunes basically forced me in to the Apple Music app. It looks decent, so I didn't mind, until I realized there's no way to sync. I've been in touch with Apple today and after the 4th transfer to a very helpful lady who screen shared with me, and she said it was actually her first ever time doing it for this reason, as it's such a new problem/app! So I hope this helps you too, she got me to install "Apple Devices" from Microsoft App store on my windows PC. And within this, you sync to apple music. And it was as simple as that, and it then allowed me to sync things :)
