Create shape. Convert to points in shape geometry. Add camera for 3D use top or side view. use edit points tool to move in z axis. When I try to move control point the pen tip (cursor) turns red and the point won’t move. Or Motion stops responding. According to AMot Help “working with Motion path behaviour >adjust mot path in 3D space” this should move point +\- Z. Any ideas?

You can only do Z positioning of points for the Open Spline or Closed Spline options of the Motion Path behavior.
If you look at the control points of a regular shape converted to points, you will only find X and Y parameter points.
