I cannot get Mac Mail to receive new emails.

I click on the warning symbol and click Try Again, but it never clears. I can see my sent emails on my iPhone, but my MacMail won't clear. Is there a new version that is not showing up on my updates page?

mail on imac not loading Mail on my up to date iMac (Monteray) and up to date iPad Pro is incredibly slow. Often the email message itself will not download, showing no contents. I read a couple similar older questions here where the answer was never provided or highly impractical. I mean, rebooting the system, starting in safe mode, is a last resort solution. Mac Mail not downloading Today my Mac mail is not downloading new email. All my accounts are active. I can send email, just not receive. When I click get new email, a message says downloading 122 messages but they never appear. The mail preferences panel opens showing only fonts and colors. Have shut down and restarted computer, used disk utility to no avail. All new email does show on my iPhone.
