iOS 17, where is the red eye tool? It’s nowhere to be found when I go to edit the photo that has red eyes.

Where’d the red eye tool go? It used to be in the “edit” on whichever photo. Now there’s no eye symbol anywhere. Using the newest iOS 17.1.2

iPhone 12 Pro, iOS 17

There is no such option in the Photos App. The software should automatically adjust exposure when taking the picture to minimize red eye.

If there is still red eye on a photo, you will need a 3rd party app to remove it.

  1. Launch the Photos app on your iPhone.
  2. Open a picture with a red eye.
  3. Tap the Edit option from the top right corner.
  4. Choose the Red-Eye icon at the top (third icon from the right).
  5. Now, in the image, carefully tap each red eye one after the other. For more accuracy while tapping, you can zoom the picture.
  6. As the red-eye disappears from the image, tap Done.
