CarPlay problems with iOS update 17.1.2

I have an iPhone 14 Pro Max which is about 12 months old. It worked well on CarPlay in my 2023 Mitsubishi Outlander until the 17.1.2 update. CarPlay then stopped working. After advice from Apple Support, an iTunes reset resulted in partial restoration of CarPlay, with Maps and app-based audio streaming working well. Siri has no audio, but seems functional. Phone calls connect, but without any send or receive audio. Selecting the speaker on the phone vice CarPlay restores audio. Changing back to CarPlay stops the audio again.

My wife has an iPhone 13 Pro and it works well on 17.1.2. A friend's Android works well in my car. This glitch is reliable and not intermittent, and appears to be restricted to my iPhone. Does anyone else have the same or similar issues? I can see that many people were affected by 17.1.1, but not many reports about 17.1.2.

Does anyone have a fix that works? Cheers and thanks!

I also have a 2023 Outlander and using an iPhone 14 Pro. Carplay was working fine up until around early Feb 2024 , not sure which update occurred around then but I could no longer connect to ABC Listen or Amazon music. Everything else, such as Apple and Google maps, Waze, Apple music is fine. So it seemed that it didn't want to stream anymore. The streaming apps work perfectly outside of the car.

I've tried a network reset and a full reset with no improvement.

A few corrections to my post. I've just had another in depth look at the issue and it looks like anything that connects to the internet, including nav apps don't connect.

My wifes iPhone 14 will connect though, she's running ios 17.3.1 and I'm running 17.4.

I tried disconnecting then reconnecting my phone from the car but to no avail.
