Your iPhone 7 does not meet the qualifications for iOS 17.
If you need iOS 17, your bank is telling you that you need a new phone.
An iPhone7 cannot be upgraded beyond iOS 15.8.2.
An iPhone 6S can be updated to iOS 15.8.2, no further.
An iPhone 6s cannot be updated past iOS 15. If you need a newer iOS version, you will need a newer iPhone.
