I can no longer use .txt files to add chapters in Compressor?!
I've used .txt files to add chapters to video files in Compressor for years and no all of a sudden, I can't. It says that it must be a .chp file or TeXML.

It should work, according to this support page:

What do the contents of the file look like, and what exactly happens? Can you post a screenshot of the error?
Well, I had never tried this, but I just made a quick test and it worked.
Just to make sure: did you actually create a plain text file, or did you by accident made "rich text" file? The latter won't work.
Here is a sample text file that I used:

User error. The times were formatted wrong in the .txt file.
