I found another easy fix. When loading the photo on Instagram, slightly toggle one of the edit functions (brightness, saturation…), even by 1%, and the ugly enhancement will go away.

I uninstalled then reinstalled the Instagram app on my phone - problem solved!!

Would you explain how to do this? The only thing I could find was an option to toggle HDR for video recording.

I wish this would work for me but just did a one-to-one comparison and it posted both photo all washed out and crappy compared to the original on my phone. So frustrating!

How do u import it to ur camera and back to photos? I'm also facing this Problem once i select a video from my gallery to post on my instagram story it enhances the video quality
