35G of music missing from my iPhone after ios17 upgrade

I've just discovered that all my music - 35G of it - has disappeared from my iphone 14 Max Pro after the ios 17 "upgrade". This is all music that I own. I do not have (or need) an Apple Music subscription.

The music is still on my Mac, but it doesn't get transferred when I sync the phone. Note that I have all the music backed up in several other places, so I'm not in danger of losing it, but I need to have it on my phone. How do I get it back?

Thanks.

Thanks, but that made no difference. It did exactly the same thing as it did when I synced it through the Finder: deliberated for a while, dit yet another backup (which I didn’t need: I’d already done three such backups tonight), said it was going to sync, but didn’t add any music.
