Extending coverage

Is it possible to extend apple care coverage beyond its original expiry date, and if so, what are the corresponding steps to follow to complete this process if extension or renewal of AppleCare is possible for the relevant devices?

Perhaps You Can:

There are restrictions and limitations:

  1. Go Here: About the Purchase Date or Expiration Date for your AppleCare Sgreement - Apple Support
  2. Scroll to: Learn more about Apple’s coverage for your product
  3. As it Reads: "Not all AppleCare plans are available in all countries or regions."

It depends on if you're referring to the standard one year AppleCare plan which came with your iPhone OR if you purchased an AppleCare+ plan within 60 days of the original date of buying your iPhone. If the standard one year AppleCare plan, it cannot be extended. If the upgraded and at additional cost AppleCare+ Plan, it can be extended within 30 days of the expiration of the plan, in CERTAIN locations.
