The compass always covers my new series 8 watch face unless I am using an app.

WHAT!!!!? The button at the bottom right of the screen was not a footprint. It was a little lines (but had been footprints previously) but it had a white background so I touched it. The compass disappeared for the first time in two months!!! I can’t believe it! I have tried EVERYTHING to get rid of that stupid compass and nothing worked. You are right, something must’ve touched my watch while I was sleeping and I had no idea. The first time it appeared was when I woke up in the morning on July 4.

Yes, my watch face looks like the compass face in your photo. I just took your suggestion and changed to a totally different watch face. Within a few seconds, the compass appeared again. I can’t get rid of that compass. I have even totally cleared my watch, and then re-populated it, and still the compass

appears all the time.

I find this unlikely, since I had never used the Compass app at all, until it suddenly spontaneously covered the face of my watch. I have rebooted several times in the past two months, but did it again just now. Compass reappeared immediately. Thanks for your suggestions though.

Thank you very much for your assistance. I will communicate with Apple directly as you suggested. Meanwhile, I have an appointment at Best Buy tomorrow, and if geek squad can’t help, I plan to exchange the watch even if I have to sell it back and buy a new one.

The compass just returned. I didn’t touch anything. I was just sitting here, and suddenly it came back. The steps in the lower right area were white, so I touched them and it didn’t disappear this time. Now the steps are black. When I touch them, the compass doesn’t disappear. I can’t believe it came back and it won’t go away.😖

OK, I touched a bunch of the things in the Compass and it didn’t disappear, but then I pushed on the dial on the upper right side of the watch, and the compass disappeared again. But this makes me really nervous that it keeps reappearing. How can I make it go away for good? I really don’t ever want to see it again.
