My Touch ID isn't working on 2021 MBP

Even made a second fingerprint. It's clean and dry. Sometimes works but more often doesn't. Ideas?

Just tried your suggestion, deleted two fingerprints and added a new one, which was cumbersome. And it doesn't work. Since I did add a new fingerprint, the touchpad would seem to be working, right? Any other suggestions? Thanks.

Actually have been to that page. Tried all those steps except Automatic Login. Verified it was off. Already tried Restart. Any other ideas? Thanks.

And Touch ID has certainly worked in the past, consistently. Only recently has it been intermittent, and now not working at all.

Have you already tried removing the existing TouchID fingerprints then re-adding new ones?
