No sound for text

I tried to reply to the other messages on this to find an answer. Has anyone found the problem yet? I have checked everything that’s been said to check and still NO SOUND! My friends and family fully believe I’m purposely ignoring them. I tell them over and over I do not hear a sound. And when you’re used to hearing a text sound when you get a text message that’s when you Check your phone. My dad thinks I should check my phone every 10 minutes but that is annoying in itself! Can anyone APPLE please find a resolution To this highly annoying and very inconvenient problem! Thanks
