I have several credit cards in my Apple wallet. One obviously is the default card. But when I pay on the bus with Apple Pay it always chooses a different card. And always the same (wrong) card. It only happens when I pay for the bus and never anywhere else. Why would this be?

I know this sounds hard to believe and my wife didn’t believe it until she witnessed it today. Both cards are Mastercard credit cards but from two separate banks. I use one when I’m abroad and the other when I’m in the UK (home country). The bus company accepts Mastercard. And this only happens to me when I pay on the bus. There must be a reason but I can’t work it out.

I really don’t see how a card other than your default card could be selected automatically but do wonder if your default card is one that isn’t accepted by the bus company. Also curious if the non-default card selected is a debit card while your default card is Credit?
