"When you connect a Lightning cable or an accessory to your iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, iPhone XR, or later, your iPhone can warn you if there's liquid in the Lightning port."

Start saving up for a new iPhone. Water and electronics don’t mix.

Any way, Shake it vigorously with the port facing down to get as much water as possible out of it. Then put it in a bag with uncooked rice, and hope no shorts occur. Leave it there for at least 24 hours and see if it still works.
