Can my USA bought iPhone be used with a carrier in Brazil?

I bought an iphone - not linked to any carrier in the USA - in installment. Can it be used with a carrier in Brazil?

Greetings cristhina,

We’re going to recommend that you check with the carrier you’re attempting to activate your device with to determine if they can activate it. Depending on the model you purchased, it may not be able to be activated in your region. For example, the iPhone 14 models in the US only come with eSIM capability. If your carrier requires a physical SIM, then that’s not going to work.

This next link might also provide some more information on compatibility - just find your model type and then you’ll see the country/region listings to the left. iPhone - Supported 5G and LTE networks

If you purchased your iPhone online, there are some frequently asked questions that appear and it says,

Will my new iPhone be unlocked?
Yes. An iPhone purchased from apple.com is unlocked. Once your new iPhone is activated, it remains unlocked, which means you can use it with any network that provides service for iPhone. The exception is when you buy an iPhone with an AT&T Installment Plan. It will be locked to AT&T and will only work on the AT&T network for the term of your Installment Plan agreement.

Here is a link to one place you can find those, though they are visible for each model - Buy iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus

Thanks.
