Tip and question about signing out of device

I discovered that if you are the parent over a child’s account, then you can turn off screen time not on the device but from the family account and as the parent guardian you turn off screen time. This will allow you to sign out of the device. unfortunately, Apple is set up a mechanism that does not allow you to sign out of the device unless screen time is turned off, I’m curious if anyone has any tips on family accounts and family sharing for children that are under 10 years old and I’m trying to limit screen time to 45 minutes on Apple TV and iPad.
