Can we share contacts across our family?

Is it possible to set up iCloud Contacts to be shared using Family Sharing? If so, how is that done? My wife and I are both on the latest version of all Apple OS's.

And if not via Family Sharing, are there some other way to allow one set of Contacts to be viewed (and ideally updated) by two separate users?
