When photos are sent from the library to an album, why are the photos not removed from the library to indicate the photo has been used???

When you assign an album to a photo, then the photo is NOT actually moved to that album. The photo is assigned that album's name. This way the photo does not have to be moved or a duplicate created. The way this works, is that when you choose a given album then all the photos under that label (Album's name) appear. This filing and retrieving process is efficient and therefore widely used on many platforms.
