My iphone is set according to apples instruction for Icloud back up except it ran 1.5 days to backup 2g and never completed..I know my upload speed is only .25 mbits except for such a small clutch of data why is it failing to upload. (**)

iCloud backups are heavily dependent upon the speed of your network. If you have a slower Wi-Fi connection, a backup may take a long time to complete or might not finish at all.
