iCloud for Windows 10 fails sign-in where a small box appears with a red circle and white X. Selecting OK in the box does not sign-in. Signing in on my spouses computer works which verifies that the ID and password are correct. How to fix this problem?

If you're able to sign in with the same Apple ID on a different device, we'll want to see what could be interfering with signing in on your PC. Security software can often interfere with signing into iCloud for Windows. Resolve issues between iCloud for Windows or iTunes and third-party security software provides this information and more.
