Parallels Desktop 14 install on Monterey 12.5.1 returns "Parallels Desktop cannot be started because some of the required components are missing from the operating system of your Mac."

Hi, I've tried to install legacy Parallels Desktop 14 install on Monterey 12.5.1 and I've got this message: "Parallels Desktop cannot be started because some of the required components are missing from the operating system of your Mac."

Anything I could try to make it run? I still own this legacy license.

MacBook Pro 15″, macOS 12.5

Thank you for sharing, https://kb.parallels.com/en/122754 seems to be describing exactly the issue I've encountered, KB 125506 was giving some more details on the fixes, mostly present in Parallels 17.

I have also found this compatibility table: https://kb.parallels.com/114381, clearly stating version 14 is only supported until MacOS Catalina 10.15.

I have also found this thread: Error Parallels 15 macOS Big Sur B… | Apple Developer Forums, suggesting to run from terminal:

export SYSTEM_VERSION_COMPAT=1
open -a '/Volumes/Parallels Desktop 14/Install.app'

And this seems to have allowed to run it successful. And start the VM!
