USB adapter

I have a 2018 Mac Air and am trying to connect it to a peripheral via a USBa. My Mac Air has a Thunderbolt/USB4 port. Will a USB C adapter work with my USB4?

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 11.6

Yes. Thunderbolt/USB4 is backwards compatible with USB-C, so there shouldn't be a problem.
