lost iphone, not on find my iphone
my mom lost her (used, but new to her) iphone. it was not yet connected to icloud and isn't showing up on find my iphone. can i try to locate it with the IMEI or some other method?

There is no other method. The phone must be turned on and on the internet in order to send a signal. Check this link...
