My printer canon pro10 wassail offline. Asked what to do and said to disconnect it from my mac which I did and the reconnect but it then cant find it?
Hi,
The Canon PRO-10 is listed in About AirPrint - Apple Support as a model supporting the driverless AirPrint technology, and can be used without additional apps/software/drivers, provided that it is connected to the same network (Wi-Fi router) as an iPad, an iPhone, or a macOS computer. An AirPrint-enabled printer is compatible with macOS.
Any information about the setup and the Mac operating system version? How is your printer connected? If via USB, printer drivers are needed. You may want to try AirPrint (via Wi-Fi or Ethernet) instead, if necessary. You may have to reset the printing system (link below) between tests.
AirPrint works with wireless (Wi-Fi) or wired (Ethernet) network connections. The Canon PIXMA PRO-10 could be connected wirelessly to the Wi-Fi router, or by Ethernet cable to one of the LAN ports. However, the only supported way of using AirPrint with an iPad/iPhone is wirelessly (Wi-Fi). A Mac could use AirPrint when connected wirelessly or by Ethernet to the router.
If there is a device/computer discovery problem when using AirPrint, you could perhaps try a full procedure like this (in the order described, including the waiting times):
Power off the Wi-Fi router, the Canon printer, the Mac, and all other devices/computers. Wait two to three minutes. Power on the router. Wait two to three minutes. Power on the Canon printer. Wait a minute or two. Power on the Mac. Finally, power on all other devices/computers.

Troubleshooting Printers with Mac:
A. AirPrint:
You need to use an Airprint-compatable printer. See if your model is shown here: About AirPrint - Apple Support. If incapable, if you wanted to, you could purchase Virtual Machine (VM Software). It may be much less that getting a new printer).
B. Run this Through a Virtual Machine:
If there ends up being not solution for Mac, consider using a Virtual Machine (VM) for this printer (Windows-in-a-window). You would open items in it, and print right off of that. All would be accessed and would operate as desired on the VM. Virtual Machine applications include VMWare Fusion and Parallels. Learn more here: What Is a Virtual Machine? - VMware Support.
Important:
C. Where to Get the Drivers: You must get the drivers from the manufacturer, and none other. This is because, getting it elsewhere, you may end up installing junk files.
If not already, load the current drivers for that PIXMA PRO-10 printer, and try again:
