Worth replacing screen on 2018 MBP?
I have a 2018 15 inch MBP with a broken screen. The cost to fix the screen is $800-1000. Is that worth it? I'd do it if I could get 3-4 more years out of it.

Thanks. If I were to do it, how many years do you think I could use it for, considering that it is from 2018 and not Apple Silicon
that machine will be able to run Ventura when it is released, so it would be supported for about 3 more years even if it won't be eligible for whatever comes after Ventura.
but I will echo ku4hx's reply. why bother when you could get a brand new M1 machine for not much more money?
The most recent MacBook Pro In my family is a 2015 15-in model.
When the MacBook Pro 2016 was announced, I affirmed that I would not be buying any newer MacBook computers unless/until Apple upped their game considerably.
I am now looking at the Apple-Silicon Macs with interest. But they come with "surprises".
But -- Everyone makes their own decisions for their own reasons. There are likely tens of thousands of MacBook Pro users who would say, that computer is the devil you know, so if you pay to replace the display, you know what you are getting, no surprises.
I wouldn't when you can get a new MacBook Air M1 for $999USD

True. Probably better to just get the MacBook Air!
