image instead of photo as Lock Screen wallpaper?

I want to use custom images - not photos - as my Lock Screen wallpaper. When I use one from my photos library, it is dimmed down so much that it is unusable. Is there a way to create those images in a way that they are usable?

I am using an iPhone 11.

I prefer abstract images over photos as wallpapers.
