Apple sent me the wrong device, but I had not realized it until after a year

A year ago, I ordered a 12.9-inch iPad Pro on Apple's online store. After I had gotten it, I did not think to check the model in Settings due to them looking very similar, and so just recently, I found out that my device is actually the less pricey 11-inch iPad Pro. I do not expect to be able to get the device I had initially ordered and paid for, but is there at least a way I can get the excess money back? Thanks.

You would need to discuss this with Apple assuming you have the order/receipt for a 12.9" with the serial number matching the device you are using.
