How to have a copy of app icons on Desktop?

How may I place a copy of App Icons from Launcher on the Desktop to be launched from there, not Launcher?

Locate them in the Finder(this can be done by control-clicking them in the Dock), and drag them there while pressing the Option and Command keys.
