Apple Music Stops Playing Mid-Song

I'm streaming music both from my ripped songs and Apple Music and the songs stop after about 20 seconds of play. The controls still show the music as playing, but the time counter is stopped and there is no sound. I can resume it by hitting pause then play, and the same thing happens.

I read on another post that this can be caused by having music on too many devices. I have

I can listen to my music and Apple Music without a problem on my other computer.

What do I need to do to fix this?

Thanks for posting in Apple Support Communities. The issue you mentioned is addressed specifically in If you have problems playing music in iTunes on PC so we recommend starting there. That'll help rule out any issues such as connected devices or files that aren't working properly.

Also, make sure that iTunes is up-to-date on your PC since updates can resolve many issues and bugs. If needed, reference Update iTunes on PC.

These tools didn't help. I'm using the newest version of iTunes, and have checked everything else.
