Software 15.6 update

15.6 update did not update automatically, usually not a problem until I hit install now and had to sign in using passcode.. What is broke is I have.an 8 digit code and the update is only 6. I tried using the first 6 and that did not work. I can’t imagine I am the only one having this issue. Ie I have an iPhone 12 pro.
