Split keyboard moved up on the screen

Recently the split keyboard on my iPad changed positions and has moved up on the screen, allowing less space to see text being typed and other things happening underneath. Is this happening to anyone else, and do you have an idea how to fix this issue?

I use split keyboard on my iPad all the time I know how it works, but this is a new thing.
